Position Summary:

We are looking for an Internal Marketing Communications Specialist who is passionate about building a supportive team culture and developing marketing communications initiatives to drive agent and employee retention and engagement. This person will develop key communications campaigns and maintain internal communications tools and programs aimed at creating an outstanding experience for all M&D agents and employees.  

The Internal Communications Specialist will work collaboratively with the marketing team and company business/groups to assess communications needs, recommend communications plans and solutions, secure necessary approvals, and create/deliver communication solutions that effectively support and address communications needs.

The Internal Communications Specialist will create, execute and maintain campaigns and initiatives to build brand ambassadorship, inspire team members, and drive learning and engagement. This person will be responsible for aligning company strategy with team member engagement, recruitment, rewards and recognition, service projects, and company events. This person will also maintain and apply knowledge of the latest technologies and tools to facilitate employee and agent learning and collaboration, and to ensure easy access to training and other important company communications and resources.

Internal Marketing Communications Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Help plan and execute an internal communications strategy, including the calendar, content creation, and optimization
  • Disseminate important information on a regular basis through agent/employee newsletter, and other communication channels
  • Help onboard new M&D agents, team members, and offices
  • Manage and maintain the company intranet, including library of agent trainings/resources
  • Solidify the company’s Intranet as a source of valuable information and easy-to-access tools, forms, and learning resources
  • Assist with the planning and execution of company events for employees and agents, including awards ceremonies, service projects, holiday parties, etc.
  • Assist with the development of presentations, communications materials, and other collateral for company events to support all M&D divisions, programs, and leadership team
  • Work with vendors to obtain information to evaluate quality, process, and costs to support vendor selection
  • Keep abreast of and submit market/industry award applications for local offices and agents
  • Stay at the forefront of industry standards, trends, and technologies by attending webinars, conferences, networking, etc.

Internal Marketing Communications Specialist Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing or related field
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently, but also as a part of a team
  • Proven ability to formulate and execute communications plans/strategies
  • Intermediate to Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, especially Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint & SharePoint
  • 1-2 years Experience with SharePoint and/or Web Design system for maintaining intranet
  • 1-2 years Event Planning Experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively across company divisions, including with HR, M&D commercial, residential, and property management groups
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Ability to Create Visual Communications through Adobe, Canva and/or other design applications
  • Experience managing projects to specifications and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to perform detailed work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Thinks innovatively and strategically and regularly proposes new ideas/opportunities
  • Demonstrates Critical Thinking and ability to evaluate metrics and consistently improve
  • Enjoys organization and structure, including development of new processes, procedures, interpreting data, and learning about new tools and techniques to increase employee efficiency and performance
